Monika Jastrzebska is an up-and-coming Director of Photography whose work focuses on the use of fluid movement and elements of stage lighting design as a key element of visual storytelling.
Monika graduated with a 1st class diploma in Television Engineering from Kingston University. She enjoys being involved in every stage of production from pre-production to shooting and sometimes taking an additional role as an editor. She works with multiple camera formats, including, Canon, Sony, Arri using both traditional techniques as well as gimbals and Steadycam.
Her debut short film FIGURE won multiple awards including the New Renaissance Film Festival, Lights Dance Film Festival, and qualified to many others including the Bafta recognized Aesthetica Film Festival. The most recent project - THE CIRCLE a documentary with elements of movement, supported by BFI Doc Society is premiering at Sheffield Doc/Fest 2019.
